ABOUT

In the spirit of Montgomery College's mission—endless possibilities—our vision is to grow Orchestras @ Montgomery College to regional prominence by attracting individuals who desire to make music at the highest possible artistic level. The ensembles create individual and collective opportunities for musicians to make music and enrich the college and community with outstanding performances.

The Metropolitan Orchestra is the orchestra of Montgomery College. It is a volunteer orchestra open to student and community musicians. Auditions are held to maintain the highest level of musicianship possible and will also serve the purpose of placement. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings, and four performances are held each season.

The Metropolitan Camerata is a chamber group of Metropolitan Orchestra musicians dedicated to the performance of chamber orchestra and chamber ensemble music.
